This piece was inspired by a black-and-white photograph from the early 20th century—a moment from another era that I adapted and reimagined through my own artistic lens. I was captivated by the atmosphere, the fashion, and the poetic feel of the scene, so I decided to bring it to life in color, with a touch of surrealism and whimsy.

“19th Strolling in Style” is a dreamy, surrealist watercolor capturing the elegance and nostalgia of a seaside stroll. Seven elongated figures stand in shallow water, dressed in striped vintage swimsuits and airy summer garments, their oversized sun hats floating like soft clouds above.
