The Map

Description:

This collage is entirely constructed from fragments of my own original artworks and real map elements, blending iconic places in Dubai with surreal travels by land and sea. A vintage car and a boat cross tangled stitched roads and shimmering coastlines, evoking the dreamlike experience of exploring both real and imaginary geographies. Each route and landmark becomes a thread in a personal narrative, reflecting the mystery, movement, and stories folded inside every journey.

Color Composition:

A bold mix of vibrant turquoise blue for the sea, sandy and blush pink for the land, and deep charcoal-grey for the backdrop. Vivid blue and yellow road signs, energetic stitched lines in red and teal, and golden fastenings bring energy, structure, and a sense of playful navigation. The palette is fresh, lively, and full of contrast between cool waters and warm lands.
